A Peppermint Park Update from Toby Norton, Landscape Architect at Boise Parks & Rec (4/11/12)
This summer there will be a lot of activity in the park in the way of construction. You may be aware that a Mayor's Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant was awarded in 2011 to development part of the playground. In addition to the grant, impact fees were allocated to complete the playground and construct two tennis courts and a basketball court. This construction will complete the amenities shown on the masterplan. The tennis courts have been awarded and will start construction in June. A public meeting is being planned to get input on the type of playground equipment the neighborhood would like to see in the park. Based on this information, the construction documents will be completed for the playground and basketball court and the project will be sent out to bid with construction scheduled for summer.
